The Class A CDL training course is offered at each of our Virginia training centers. This training program is designed for those who have no prior experience or training as a truck driver or has been out of the trucking industry for several years. The Class A CDL training program prepares students for truck driving careers in both over-the-road (OTR) and local driving jobs. The certificate of completion from a CDL Program qualifies a graduate as an entry-level CDL driver. During truck driver training, students learn & develop the skills required to pass the state CDL skills test in Class A commercial vehicle.
Length: 15-Days / 120 Hours
The Class B CDL training course is offered at the CDS training center in Fredericksburg. The course is designed for individuals with no or limited experience driving a Class B commercial vehicle. Students who elect to get their Passenger “P” Endorsement will attend an extra week of training and will be qualified to drive a commercial bus. Class B CDL Training prepares students for employment as a passenger bus driver or straight truck driver (tow trucks, dump trucks, delivery trucks, and utility trucks) in a local setting.
Available at all of our Virginia training centers, the CDL Refresher course is designed for those who have a valid CDL with previous driving experience and/or completion of a CDL school in the last 3 years. The course goal is to brush-up a CDL holder’s driving skills for those intending to return to a trucking career. Students must have a Class A License to enroll.
The 40-Hour DMV Training course is for those who have failed their DMV General Knowledge test 3 times. The Virginia DMV requires 40-hours of Classroom Training after this point. Once a student completes the 40-hour program, CDS will then provide the required documentation to allow unlimited opportunities to take the CDL General Knowledge test at DMV.
